SINITUS is an experimental, interactive Synthesizer, programmed in MaxMSP. It consists of the Software and a designated Arduino-Controller, to control and explore its' sound-design capabilities.
USER INTERFACE
The SINITUS uses 3 different sound sources: a sampler, a wavetable synth and an AM/FM synthesizer.
The sampler and wavetable synth are fed with a recording of 5 seconds length, which could also be loaded from the hard drive.
Each sound source has its own set of controls and runs through the multimode-filter, as well as the FX chain of comb-filter, delay and pitch-shifter.
The sound sources can be used individually or in combination.
The Effects can be turned off individually. In randomization mode, many parameters can be randomized - either once or with every played note.
ARDUINO CONTROLLER
The designated Arduino-Controller allows to control 16 parameters of the Instrument.
In combination with a computer keyboard, it gives control over all parameters - without having to look at the computer-screen anymore.
This makes exploring the instrument a lot more intuitive and also enables to use it in performances.
